im stuck at 'getting data centers' and another message is
the default data center is not avaiable
does it mean, that servers are down?

Such an error means that you can't connect to the server.
It must be your net connection problem 'cause I don't have such a problem neither.

Yesterday, I wasn't able to download BOOK XII patch.

I hope today when I return home it'll be working properly.

The patch in itself wasnīt downloadable yesterday...it was the program making it faster and smooher today, when it comes available.

There was the same kind of thing with the last patch aswell. I didnīt download the assist program and the patch in itself downloaded just fine. Took some time, but still

Technical help needed here. Just noticed my burning dvd-drive doesn't recognize my dvd:s. I wonder why? Sad

as some of you noticed Im having problems with chat server. I keep getting on and off the chat server. GMs told me to change a port value in user.ini file but it didnt help. SO then they said it's my firewall/router - but other programs run just fine. Any ideas?

Sorry I can't help but keep on questioning GMs or send an e-mail to the support team until they will find the reason. Just tell them that none of their suggestions work. I'm doing so if I got any problems with any games and it works. Support teams and GMs are lazy and they just giving the obvious answers but if you push them... it helps in most cases.

I had similar problems when using ZoneAlarm -firewall with this game, so now I just trust the windows firewall when playing. Solved it for me.

By now I've tried everything - reinstalling the game, xp, I keep getting ideas from Codemasters and then replying - 'sorry it didn't work'.
Maybe it's me, but wiothout chat this game is kinda boring, not say pointless. It's really sad to be in a group and not being able to communicate, or to read the kinship chat and other.
And yes, I'm disappointed and frustrated and just venting out.

I think they're exagerrating with maintance lately. Three days during last 6 days... It's pathetic and no excuses can be tolareted due to the holidays. Moreover DX10 shadows are still not working properly... They just screw it. The funniest thing was an answer from tech support that I just should turn shadows off. Hehehehe so what the hell are they for?

I turned directx10 off and it solved my problems. But they shouldn't even offer the option if it's bugged. How about you Marley with your new machine?
